As a Learning and Development Coordinator at Secret Escapes, you will coordinate and support talent development and employee experience across the business. Secret Escapes operates a flexible working policy and we are all in the office 1 day a week (minimum) and have core hours of 10am-4pm (you can make up the other hours to suit you). In keeping with being an inspirational travel brand, we also have a ‘Work from Anywhere’ policy, so you can work from anywhere in the world for up to a month each year!

Things you’ll be working on:

  • Lead the delivery of our group-wide employee engagement approach, with a focus on implementing our engagement surveys and managing data and results to provide recommendations to the wider business
  • Identify and prioritise training needs across Secret Escapes, running in house workshops, training sessions and onboarding for new employees
  • Coordinate people manager capability development through our manager development programmes and other initiatives - including organising cohorts, sending out communications,reviewing feedback and managing suppliers 
  • Support the Head of Employee Experience to deliver our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda
  • Identify and prioritise training needs across the business and build out our ongoing 'core skills' development programme 
  • Support Internal Communication and Events Manager on content relating to L&D and the employee experience 
  • Support on wider employee engagement initiatives such as charity, ESG, Office Events, wellbeing, recognition etc
  • Act as point of contact for learning and development providers - leading on organisation of workshops/sessions/SOW with support from manager
  • Develop effective relationships across the business with colleagues, networks and international peers and stakeholders 

 

The deal breakers:

  • Good understanding and passionate about of progressive learning and development approaches and employee behaviour
  • Comfortable processing data and identifying trends
  • Awareness of current trends and and best practices in the L&D and employee engagement space - ability to prioritise what makes most impact on culture 
  • Strong Microsoft excel (or Google Sheets), PowerPoint (or Google Slides) and Word (or Google Docs) skills - with a proven ability to communicate an idea/story effectively and clearly 
  • Proven track record with research which can be applied to ability to assessing learning and development methods and providers

  • A self starter with a creative and ‘can do attitude’ - with an appetite to learn and grow on the job 
  • A great communicator - comfortable talking with a range of different people at all levels 
  • Someone with a high degree of integrity, confidentiality and commitment
  • Self- aware and proactive to collaborate with the wider people team
  • Comfortable supporting a wide ranging remit and have a progressive attitude to learning and development
  • Someone curious and keen to drive the L&D agenda forward, working passionately and energetically to drive the Employee Engagement strategy forward
