We’re looking for a learning design leader to help build best-in-class development experiences for all employees at Pinterest. This lead role on the Learning and Development team requires deep subject matter expertise in learning design to create and scale brand-new learning opportunities across all employee populations. You’ll need end-to-end instructional design experience, including identifying needs, defining program goals, developing learning experiences, driving adoption, and measuring success.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead a small but mighty team of learning experience designers .
  • Design large-scale, results-driven learning experiences for our employee, manager, and leadership populations. 
  • Partner directly with subject matter experts to develop learning for a variety of audiences and delivery methods (live workshops, digital/e-learning, videos, one-pagers, async guides).
  • Work with program managers to refresh key programs in the onboarding, leadership development, inclusion & diversity, and talent management space.
  • Create fun and engaging learning experiences that help employees adopt new skills and abilities. 
  • Write copy for facilitator guides, slides, learning aids, intranet pages, and promo materials.
  • Manage multiple complex development projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with L&D operations to create scalable processes and standards that set up the team for long-term success.

What you’ll bring:

  • Extensive expertise in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design, Learning & Development, or Talent Development.
  • Evidence-based understanding of adult learning theory and how that translates into a work environment.
  • Proficiency using a variety of learning, authoring, and collaboration tools to develop instructional content (Storyline Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Miro/Mural, Camtasia, Google suite).
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and build programs alongside key stakeholders as they create and update foundational initiatives.
  • Open collaborative style; ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously.
  • Creativity; with new and fresh ways to design learning and development programs in a hybrid work environment. 
  • Influence at all levels, with strong stakeholder management and experience partnering with different parts of the People team and Business teams.
  • Experience designing learning programs within a corporate environment strongly preferred, with experience in tech, advertising, media or another fast-paced environment a plus.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
