We’re building a scalable, high-performing Legal function for our 16 million customers globally. And we’re looking for a Legal Analyst to join us as part of the Legal team’s two year graduate programme.

This is an incredible opportunity for you to gain exposure to a wide range of matters across our Legal, Privacy and Company Secretarial teams.

Wise is a global technology company, building the best way to move and manage the world’s money. You can help us achieve our mission of money without borders: instant, convenient, transparent, and eventually free. We're powering money for people and businesses: to pay, to get paid, to spend, in any currency, wherever you are, whatever you're doing.

Since it was founded in 2010, 5,500+ people now work at Wise, from 125 nationalities, in 17 global locations.

Check out our WiseStart programme for graduates and what it’s like working at Wise.

How you will contribute

Your role will span across multiple parts of the Legal tribe, working alongside lawyers within the Legal team in London and globally across Product, Corporate and Disputes functions.

You’ll also support the Privacy team in helping Wise comply with data protection and privacy laws and the Company Secretarial with corporate governance and administration.

When you join the graduate programme, we’ll discuss what your first areas of focus will be and later you can help other members of the Legal tribe to drive different areas forward.

Legal Analyst opportunities

  • Make an impact. You’ll have an opportunity to build, own and grow parts of an award-winning Legal team in a fast-paced, listed and profitable fintech
  • Own your path to success. You’ll have a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Work in an international Legal team and learn about Legal, Privacy and Company Secretarial functions
  • Expand your legal skills and knowledge and develop for the future

In your two-year programme as a Legal Analyst, you will:

  • Onboard and spend some time understanding the mission and the Legal Tribe’s vision. Once you know this, you’ll better understand how you can contribute
  • Understand how Legal works at Wise and what Legal, Privacy and Company Secretarial teams do. You’ll get a chance to explore different areas and get an opportunity to deepen your knowledge of them
  • Conduct legal research on a wide range of topics to answer queries by looking into financial regulations, legislation, regulatory guidance and case law
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing a wide range of legal documents, contracts, and agreements
  • Analyse and interpret a variety of legal documents
  • Keep up to date with changes in financial services regulations and policy developments
  • Support the Disputes function with organising case materials and preparing legal documents for court proceedings and dispute resolution matters
  • Attend court hearings, take detailed notes and assist with the management of litigation cases, and more!

Wise’s Legal Graduate Programme is not intended to serve as qualifying work experience needed to qualify as a solicitor. The programme is a full-time two year fixed term contract and we do not expect Legal Analysts to study for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams at the same time as working with us. The intention of the programme is to gain valuable on-the-job experience and unparalleled exposure to Wise’s fast-paced Legal team.

We are a hybrid working team. All members of the Legal tribe are expected to be in the office at least 12 days a month (which works out as 3 days a week on average).

At the end of the two-year programme, you will have an opportunity to apply for any available permanent role at Wise.
