Airbnb is seeking a Legal Intern to join the Brazil legal consulting and litigation teams for a 12-month internship.

Your assigned projects will depend on the department’s needs and your interests. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the legal team of Airbnb Brazil to support a variety of legal functions, which may include: Litigation, Contracts, Regulatory, Corporate, Commercial, Privacy, etc.

 

A typical day:

The intern will support the Brazil Legal and Litigation team in:

  • Managing summonings from judicial and administrative cases and extrajudicial notices;
  • Monitoring judicial and administrative cases, gathering data to support Airbnb's defenses and updating Airbnb's internal systems with information about judicial and administrative cases;
  • Managing outside counsel work and consumer litigation cases;
  • Drafting reports and responses to judicial and administrative requests
  • Participating on projects with the legal consulting and litigation team, besides collaborating on daily basis workflows.

 

Your expertise:

  • Current first year or second year law school student
  • Interpersonal skills with an interest in building relationships and collaborating across the company
  • Adaptable and able to adjust plans and manage changes effectively
  • Able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interest in learning about in-house legal practice
  • Previous experience in the litigation practice is a plus but not required
  • Basic/intermediate proficiency in the English language is a plus, but not a requisite

 

Your location:

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will need to be based in Sao Paulo for in-person meetings and collaboration. Additionally, you must have work authorization for Brazil to be eligible.
