Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The community you will join:

Airbnb is seeking Legal Interns to join the Privacy team for a summer internship (full-time - 40 hours per week) from May 20th to August 2nd (date are not flexible).

A typical day:

Working with an in-house specialized privacy team is a rare and valuable opportunity to gain practical experience. Our privacy internship program stands apart in that it offers a sustained period of substantive project work. For example, our privacy interns have supported implementing new state privacy law requirements and have interacted with global legal counterparts, engineers, and the Privacy operations team while working on cutting edge privacy issues. Past interns have gone on to secure full- or part-time employment with a number of dynamic technology companies.

As an intern, you’ll be expected:

  • Collaborate with multiple team members to achieve project milestones
  • Communicate with the legal team and other stakeholders to provide project updates
  • Proactively seek and provide feedback throughout the internship
  • Actively participate in and contribute to the legal and broader Airbnb community
