Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a Legal Operations Analyst to join their Legal, Risk and Corporate Responsibility Department in Plantation, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity that requires the successful candidate to assist in developing, scaling, and project managing processes and projects to improve the operational effectiveness of the Legal, Risk and Corporate Responsibility Department. As Legal Operations Analyst, you will work cross-functionally with our partners in Finance, IT, HR and operations to improve communication and coordination. This role will report to the Senior Legal Operations Analyst, utilizing their legal operations and technology skills and be a driving force behind the success of the team. This position offers a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Chewy's growing business needs by implementing leading legal software and data-driven strategies to deliver better, faster and more efficient services.

What you'll do:

  • Independently develop reports and processes to drive operational enhancements to the Legal team’s processes and spend throughout the department
  • Assist in project management needs for various department initiatives
  • Assist in software implementation, workflow buildout and process automation
  • Own and manage outside counsel, legal vendor, and technology solution provider engagement and spend management
  • Assist in standardization of document management
  • Present data to senior leadership, finance and accounting departments that explains, categorizes, and justifies legal department spend
  • Independently Identify and implement streamlined processes and enhance department budgeting practices
  • Own, create and manage legal billing matters
  • Own and manage department learning and development programs
  • Support team functions such as knowledge management and records management

What you'll need:

  • A. or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the Legal field, contracts administration, business analytics or legal operations
  • Experience with legal analytics, legal terminology and legal software (Matter Management, Contract Lifecycle Management and Legal Spend Management)
  • Proficient in business applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to work with multiple data sets in order to make informed recommendations; experience with business intelligence tools is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 10% travel may be required

Preferred experience (Not Required):

  • Experience implementing legal software
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting legal spend
  • Experience with LEDES files and legal invoicing
  • Proficiency with SQL
