About the role

The Licensing Coordinator will support the Consumer Products team in the development and management of domestic and international merchandise licensing programs and become the go-to person for import requests and smaller IP development. Responsibilities will include: identifying and evaluating new licensing opportunities and partners, help oversee progress and compliance of licensee partners, meeting note taking and follow up coordination, meeting scheduling, franchise calendar updating, pitch deck creation and updating, trade show/conventions/events planning assistance, collaborating with other departments for data collection and interdepartmental projects, assisting in partner compliance tasks, collaborating with legal and business affairs for the purpose of quick and efficient contract execution, assist legal in the identification and enforcement of counterfeit goods, identifying process improvements.

In the role of Licensing Coordinator, you will report to the Senior Manager, Licensing.

About You

  • You have 0-2 years of related experience - consumer products, licensing, retail, or gaming
  • Japanese language experience (spoken and written preferred) 
  • Experienced with project management
  • Conduct independent research to problem solve
  • Accustomed to working in teams and independently
  • Comfortable and willing to present in front of groups
  • Interested in anime, pop culture, retail and products
  • Experience with entertainment licensing and product development (toy/hardlines experience)
  • Have familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Completed a 2-year college degree
About the Team

The Consumer Products team works to expand anime fandom expression into the area of tangible goods, consumables, digital merchandise, gaming, location-based entertainment and more! We perform sales/licensing functions and product development/approvals functions in the interest of bringing unique anime goods and experiences to fans across the globe and bringing Crunchyroll’s presence into new and expanded spaces within retail, events and pop ups. We are a close-knit team that exhibits a spirit of creativity, collaboration, celebration and fun, while helping each other find the best opportunities for the anime IP we represent and working toward challenging financial goals achieved through securing minimum guarantees and growing sales and royalties.
