Lifecycle Marketing Specialist - Velocity
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to join our Velocity Team. This role will focus on executing nurture sequences designed to motivate post-sale customers toward adoption and expansion. The ideal candidate will be adept at using marketing automation tools, have a keen eye for detail, deep curiosity about the developer ecosystem, a drive to learn, and a passion for driving customer engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Nurture Sequence Execution:
- Execute post-sale and expansion nurture sequences to drive user engagement and retention.
- Implement and manage email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, personalization, and automation.
Content Implementation:
- Write copy for lifecycle sequences under the coaching of the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, PMM and Content Marketer
- Work with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager and Marketing Ops team to implement compelling and relevant content into nurture sequences.
- Ensure all content is aligned with Sumo Logic’s brand voice and messaging.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate customer data and segmentation within the marketing automation platform.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with privacy regulations.
- Work with Marketing Ops and Digital Marketing to instrument and tag campaigns as necessary to accurately track results.
Performance Monitoring:
- Track, dashboard and report on the performance of nurture campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates and other metrics.
- Conduct regular analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimize campaign performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, product marketing, and Inside Sales teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and objectives.
- Provide feedback and insights from campaign performance to inform future content and strategies.
- Gather insights from the Inside Sales Representatives to improve the performance of campaigns.
Automation and Technology:
- Utilize marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo) to build, deploy, and manage campaigns.
- Leverage messaging platforms (e.g., Intercom, Qualified) for effective customer communication.
- Use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for data management and campaign integration.
- Obsess about the latest marketing technologies and best practices to continuously improve onboarding for our target persona, becoming a geek about tools
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or a related role.
- Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
- Experience with messaging platforms (e.g., Intercom, Qualified).
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in A/B testing methodologies and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, Agile marketing environment.
- Strong communication abilities and a keen eye for detail.

Sumo Logic Privacy Policy
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $122,000. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) such as role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible to participate in our bonus or commission plans, as well as our benefits offerings, and equity awards.
