The newly-formed Language team, part of our Scale function within Product and Brand Design, is dedicated to delivering exceptional value to customers by ensuring that all Personio content is available in their language, with the right level of quality and conveying the intended tone. We aim to address the user's need for a seamless, globally accessible product that is simple, functional and human.

As a Localization Manager, you’ll be accountable for the end to end management of all product localization projects, delivering them on time, to scope, and within budget. You will do this while uplifting localisation standards and driving speed of execution by iterating on our operating model, streamlining localization processes and championing collaboration with other departments.  

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

  • Manage product localization projects end to end, ensuring that projects are completed on-time, within budget and that deliverables fully meet requirements
  • Identify, escalate and resolve any risks or issues during the project execution
  • Work closely with external localization vendors and internal stakeholders, especially with a focus on implementing and providing feedback 
  • Champion best practices for localization experiences to drive alignment and consistency across the organization
  • Align with your team to prioritize, resource, budget and schedule projects
  • Maintain localization tools and other localization resources to drive quality and efficiency
  • Contribute to improving project workflows and quality assurance procedures

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

  • A proven track record in managing localization projects for a global market, including experience with localization tools, quality assurance and software localization
  • Fluency in English and preferably one of our core product languages (Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish)
  • Ability to deal well with rapid changes, and feel comfortable navigating uncertain/ambiguous situations
  • Proven success in driving process optimizations and localization initiatives, influencing others, and cross-functional cooperation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A deep understanding of the localization industry and the latest trends
  • An independent and proactive work style
