Role: Localization Project Manager 

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (Office presence expected at minimum 3 days per week)

We are recruiting a full-time Localization Project Manager to work at the our client office in Amsterdam. OLIVER is a global marketing agency. What you will be doing:

Translation/Localization Project Management  

With over 70 on-site copywriters/translators (across 30 markets) translating and transcreating marketing materials, your key tasks will be: 

  • Keeping regular contact with designated team members (transcreators/translators) and supporting them on a day-to-day basis with regard to briefings and projects.
  • Managing your responsible categories and markets proactively from end to end – briefing, tracking and delivering – in a timely and professional manner.  
  • Making sure the quality, timing and budget of the projects is constantly achieved to the highest standard, whilst the creativity and the brand tone-of-voice stay protected.
  • Creating and embedding best practice within the localization project management team.
  • Reporting to the Senior Localization Project Manager for all day-to-day project work.  
  • Working closely with Global category stakeholders and escalating any red flags to Senior LPM or Brand Operations Lead
  • Ensuring the client constantly has the expected level of service on a day-to-day basis. Flag to the Senior LPM or Brand Operations Lead as soon as any issues or concerns arise.  
  • Ensuring communication is clear and efficient.  
  • Being constructive and problem-solving oriented.  
  • Getting to know inside-out the brand’s tone-of voice, identity, categories and products. 
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Passion for languages and cultures.
  • Team spirit; ambition to learn, support and be part of a talented, truly international localisation team.
  • A can-do and problem-solving oriented attitude.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Excellent ability to manage and develop stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong and clear communication skills and a proactive and constructive approach.
  • Flexibility and capacity to manage multiple streams of work at once, prioritising what’s needed and producing consistently high-level work, even with very tight deadlines.
  • Exemplary organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience in translation and localization project management; at least 3 years+ experience in a similar, language PM focused role.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages and international mind-set are definitely a plus. 
  • Please be aware that this is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
