YOUR MISSION

At Glovo, our Localization team is an integral part of the Product organization. As a transversal team, we oversee all translation and localization needs, ensuring our products resonate seamlessly with global audiences. Our mission is to provide a user experience for non-English speakers that matches the excellence we deliver to English-speaking audiences. THE JOURNEY

As a Localization Project Manager, you will coordinate localization efforts across multiple products and services, acting as the key liaison between third-party service providers, internal product and engineering teams, and various international business units. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, monitoring, and executing all aspects of the localization project lifecycle.
  • Managing ongoing localization tasks and handling bugs and queries from internal stakeholders, such as Product, Marketing, Legal, and Customer Support.
  • Communicating with external translation providers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Supporting complex localization projects alongside the Localization Manager.
  • Defining, updating, and automating localization processes to improve team efficiency.
  • Driving high-quality localization standards and user experience across all markets.
  • Acting as a reference for globalization, internationalization, and localization best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in localization project management, preferably in technology companies. Experience in localization/internationalization roles is a plus.
    • Experience working with TMS platforms such as Lokalise, Phrase, or similar tools.
    • Experience working with external vendors or freelance linguists. 
    • Knowledge of localization, internationalization standards, and QA best practices.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proven ability to drive results within cross-functional teams.
    • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Great communication skills to educate stakeholders in localization topics. 
    • Professionalism in cross-cultural environments and aptitude for building solid professional relationships.
  • Additional Qualifications and Knowledge:
    • Educational background in linguistics, translation, or related fields.
    • Understanding of software localization challenges and linguistic nuances.
    • Up to date with translation industry developments in AI and machine translation. 
    • Proficiency in one or more languages in addition to English (nice to have).
