About The Role

As the Logistics Manager at Sumup LATAM, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the logistics and supply chain operations within the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of strategic, cross-functional, and process optimization activities. This role will require you to make impactful decisions, drive process improvements, and manage a dynamic team to ensure the seamless flow of our products to the hand of our merchants, enabling Sumup to achieve its mission and vision.

What You’ll Do

• Work on complex projects and issues of diverse scope, necessitating cross-functional collaboration and the analysis of multiple factors.
• Make decisions that may have an impact on the organization's strategy and complex projects within the logistics function.
• Drive process documentation and optimization through an agile development framework, providing data-driven proposals.
• Manage and lead a team of logistics professionals, guiding their tasks, projects, and self-development.
• Collaborate with senior experts and managers to seek guidance and ensure alignment with the company's objectives.
• Lead the implementation of multi-channel processes for demand planning, inventory management, and sales reconciliation. Ensure these processes are designed to cater to all our sales channels and models (sales, rental, subscriptions for both online and offline)
• Implement team objectives and key results and drive changes to existing logistics processes and practices within the function.
• Manage multiple work streams and deliver results within defined deadlines.
• Elevate the logistics service provided to merchants to a world-class level, aiming for the highest standards in the industry (e.g., Amazon-like logistics services).
• Propose and implement changes in the team structure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in meeting future challenges.

What You’ll Need 

• Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Excel is a must, SQL is a plus
• Advanced English skills
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Proficiency in process optimization, agile development, and data-driven decision-making with a merchant centric mindset. You are also creative and open to test new ideas.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking with a strong hands on attitude
• You are a fast-learner and self-starter. You’ll be working at a startup: be prepared to run things outside of your scope and do not expect us to have all the answers you need
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of the latest logistics industry trends and best practices
