This employee may lead a team of junior Machine Operators using food packaging and production equipment.  This employee demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail is reliable and in good standing on performance and attendance and is interested in expanding their career at Green Chef.

Reports To: Machine Supervisor

Purpose of the Position: To operate all machines in the facility safely and with maximum efficiency.  Sometimes lead a team of junior Machine Operators on automated food packaging and production equipment safely and efficiently following regulatory requirements and GreenChef processes.  

Hourly Rate - $21/HR

Shift - Night

Essential Functions:

• Frequently lead a team of to complete daily production tasks safely and on time
• Capable of completing paperwork and transactions with QA and Management
• Assist automated machinery with completing food preparation 
• Assist automated machinery with portioning food into packaging
• Ensure that equipment is properly and thoroughly cleaned as per SSOP documentation
• Provide incremental informal training to junior Machine Operators
• Able to quickly identify machine irregularities and troubleshoot minor problems.  Able to recognize serious problems and alert maintenance

• Able to staff all mechanized Green Chef packaging and production equipment (SidePouch, Sauce Portioners, VibraCone, Likwifier, Urschel,  and any other automated equipment)
• Capable of communicating in English or is actively participating in an English language training program

Non-Essential Functions:

• Willingness to formally train junior Machine Operators in operating procedures for food packaging equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Capable of leading a team to complete daily tasks safely and on time.

Required Experience/Education:

• At least six months of work experience at GreenChef, or one year of experience as a machine operator externally.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds of weight to tabletop height
• Must be able to work standing up for the duration of the shift
