Lyft is looking for an energetic team-player, who has a background in bike, scooter and vehicle service repairs to join the Lyft Bike & Scooter team. You will work with Lyft Bike and Scooter markets to ensure over operational excellence in maintenance of rideables such as bikes and scooters.

As the Maintenance & Serviceability Lead, you’ll be responsible for creating best-in-class bike and scooter maintenance standard operating procedures, as well as monitoring the quality of both in-house and contracted repair operations through quality checks in certain markets. You are a strong project manager, and capable of driving the execution of cross-functional tasks and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Document and refine inspection and maintenance processes for bicycle and scooters through standard operating procedures (SOPs) and repair manuals
  • Perform quality checks in certain operating markets and troubleshoot quality issues with local teams
  • Perform urgent, hands-on mechanical failure diagnostics, as necessary
  • Identify areas of repair depot and field process improvements, and execute improvements to support on-going market operations
  • Execute major operational projects including fleet hardware retrofits and roll-out of key repair processes across multiple markets
  • Become a technical expert at Lyft vehicles. Conduct “train the trainer” sessions with local markets on bike and scooter repair and maintenance procedures
  • Assist with spare parts planning with internal teams
  • Coordinate with internal teams on operational tooling to support maintenance activities
Experience:
  • 3+ years of work experience in a fast paced environment 
  • Hands on electro-mechanical experience necessary; experience with bike and scooter maintenance is a strong plus
  • Strong problem structuring and solving skills
  • Attention to detail, but bias towards action
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Responsible and accountable
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected base pay range for this position in the New York City area is $94,500 - $105,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
