As a Maintenance Technician, you will be a key player in keeping our large-scale fulfillment center operating at peak performance. Your role will involve performing a diverse range of maintenance, facilities management, and utilities tasks to ensure seamless operations, minimize downtime, and uphold safety and efficiency standards. With your expertise, you’ll help maintain a well-functioning environment that supports efficiency and operational excellence. 

What You'll Do:  

  • Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Carry out maintenance, repair, housekeeping, plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry to support the high-speed operations of our fulfillment center.  
  • Ensure Equipment Functionality: Monitor and ensure that all fulfillment center equipment is running efficiently and that the work environment remains safe for all Team Members.  
  • Implement Maintenance Tasks: Complete scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance tasks throughout the facility efficiently and effectively.  
  • Inspect Systems: Conduct daily inspections of conveyor systems, shipping, and packing equipment areas to identify and address potential issues.  
  • Handle Equipment Accountability: Coordinate the maintenance and accountability of assigned equipment and gear, seeking for zero loss, damage, and defects.  
  • Apply CMMS: Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to supervise labor utilization and handle parts inventory.  
  • Tackle Issues: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems by visually inspecting, testing, and evaluating components, equipment, and circuits.  
  • Follow Procedures: Enforce company procedures and protocols to ensure consistent and reliable operations.  

What You'll Need:  

  • Experience: A minimum of 36 months in facility maintenance, with background in mechanics, construction, engineering, aviation, or transportation repair.  
  • Electrical Skills: Proficiency or a proven understanding of electrical systems.  
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience using maintenance tools and equipment effectively.  
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn. Manual dexterity and good balance are critical for working at ground level and at elevations up to 35 feet.  
  • Technical Interest: Strong curiosity about math, electricity, shop mechanics, electric motors, and appliances.  
  • Exposure Awareness: Knowledge of potential exposure to high voltage, welding equipment, and various lubricants and solvents.  
  • Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and/or a floating schedule.  
  • Fire Systems Experience: Familiarity with fire systems and fire alarm electronic devices.  
  • Technical Reading: Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and plumbing schematics  
  • Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Experience with conveyor systems (belts, drives, tracking valves) and VFD motor controllers, motor starters, and control cabinets.  
  • PLC Skills: Basic knowledge of PLCs, including input/output solving and some programming.  
  • HVAC Experience: Understanding or experience with HVAC systems.  
  • Communication and Decision-Making: Ability to communicate preventative maintenance and repair needs, bring up issues outside normal hours, and make sound decisions under pressure.  
  • Proactive Maintenance: Skill in identifying and addressing potential issues before they lead to equipment breakdown. 

 

The specific hourly range offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k.

Non-exempt hourly team members accrue paid time off (PTO) subject to manager approval. Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.

Hourly Range$23.90—$25.40 USD
