AKQA Group, are seeking a Management Accountant. This is a hybrid role working with the Finance Director and Finance Business Partner. You will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business, acting as a central point of contact for finance-related queries and ensuring effective communication across departments. This role involves preparing and analysing financial data, contributing to management reporting, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including commercial and operational teams, to deliver accurate and timely financial information.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Support the oversight of all transactional details, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Responsible for the accurate preparation of all monthly management accounts and dashboards.
  • Prepare month end group reporting completion to WPP, ensuring all control processes are adhered to and are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Completion of all month end reconciliation balances and reporting files for signing and SOX control purposes
  • Ensure all US/UK compliance is strictly adhered to, and deadlines met.
  • Provide detailed P&L analysis, understanding key drivers and movements, taking a view, and communicating to relevant stakeholders when required.
  • Align with senior management from different departments on yearly budget and quarterly re-forecasts.
  • Support on the annual external audit process and support on future internal audits and SOX compliance procedures.
  • Delivering timely and accurate performance reports.
  • Collaborate with the Client Services team to ensure accurate job setup and correct data entry.
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner with Commercial Reporting e.g. Revenue Forecasting and Pipeline Analysis.
  • Produce and identify trends within Studio Utilisation, highlighting key areas for improvement.
  • Partner with the Partnerships & Growth team to ensure tracking of leads and relevant data.
  • Ownership of weekly Capacity Reporting, to assess team workload and availability to take on new projects.
  • Ensuring Paprika is up to date and jobs are closed in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Monthly Commercial Reporting Pack: analysis of revenue and client growth reports while analysing trends and opportunities for growth; and; tracking of investment and client overspends, looking at trends and understanding impacts of decisions.

QUALITIES & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bring a positive and can-do attitude to all tasks and be pro-active in facilitating expectations on the Finance Team.
  • Be eager to constantly develop and embrace challenges with a view for development and learning within the team.
  • Good communication is key to this role, both with internal team and external clients as a representative of the Studio.
  • Have the ability to multitask, be able to prioritise and maintain balance at all times.
  • Bring experience of working within a strong team and demonstrate support and assistance to team members.
  • Relevant tertiary education in business or finance. 
  • Studying towards ACA, ACCA. CIMA or QBE with a professional accountancy qualification, will consider other relevant qualifications.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and knowledge.
  • Comfortable with Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Charts, SumIfs & Conditional Formatting.
  • Experience and an understanding of Paprika is a benefit or a similar job costing tool.
