MongoDB is looking for a seasoned, hands-on manager for our Business Systems Team. We implement, customize, improve, and support several cloud based systems (we focus heavily on NetSuite, Coupa, Adaptive Insights, Avalara and Salesforce to name a few with several integrations into other systems). As a Business Systems Manager, you will be responsible for managing distributed administrators and developers to deliver on system improvements for multiple internal stakeholders including Finance, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success and Support Operations. We like automation, integration, usability, and efficient processes. We don't mind complex tasks and complicated setups if that means the tools are efficient and straightforward to use. Our systems hold critical data and calculate key business metrics.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of team-based projects throughout the project lifecycle such as requirements gathering, process re-engineering, solution design, implementation, and delivery.
This role can be based out of our New York City, Palo Alto, or San Francisco offices.
We're looking for someone who has- 8+ years of strong functional experience with leading system changes in NetSuite, Coupa, Concur in a production lead role
- 5+ years managing multiple, concurrent and possibly conflicting intra- as well as inter-department demands whilst driving and maintaining project execution and focus
- 1+ years experience managing a team of 3 or more people
- Specific experience with MultiBook Accounting, Advanced Revenue Management, SuiteBilling, US and International taxation
- Good understanding of data structures and their impact on reports, UI, and integrations. Integration middleware experience: Boomi, Mulesoft or similar is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of a formal system implementation methodology – requirements gathering, design, build/test and deploy (Agile methodology preferable)
- End-to-end understanding of Quote to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Hire to Retire, International Taxation related processes with strong understanding of sales, operations, support and finance needs
- Ability to quickly understand and decompose financial, business, and technical concepts
- Strong knowledge of internal controls, compliance and security
- Excellent communication skills with ability to drive and lead meetings around business systems and/or related topics as well as efficiently and effectively communicate with cross functional partners from highly technical to business oriented
- Must be flexible, adaptable and able to respond to shifting as well as different tasks with competing priorities, while quickly learning and improving new applications and processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Collaborate with multiple, cross-department business stakeholders through biweekly check-ins as well as with internal IT counterparts to drive process and system improvements leveraging existing enterprise-wide key systems (NetSuite and Salesforce)
- Take the lead in working with internal and external stakeholders on requirements gathering, scoping and thorough testing to attain a win-win design that meets business requirements without impact to committed timelines
- Serve as subject matter expert on either NetSuite to challenge the soundness of technical design and resource effort and serve as a coach for internal administrator and developer resources on solution employed
- Provide guidance and serve as the point of escalation for complex data and system issues including formulating a plan to analyze, identify, test and resolve operational issues with the team
- Develop career paths for individual contributors and engage in hiring and planning of additional headcount to meet growing needs
- Report on metrics for each team member as well as by external customer constituent to assess allocation of work to strategic versus triage across varied constituents and demonstrate progress and velocity made on prioritized asks
