This position will be based in our Boston, MA office. All Boston based corporate employees work in the office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office at least 4 days per week and have the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Wayfair is looking for a highly analytical, strategically-minded leader to join the Category Finance team within Commercial Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of a new team at Wayfair. The right candidate has a passion for breaking down complex business problems into discrete analyses and using data to make informed business decisions. As a key thought partner to Commercial and Finance leadership, you will provide financial visibility and guidance for making better strategic and operational decisions.

Wayfair’s Category Finance team collaborates with business partners in Finance, Category Management, Fintech & Loyalty and other Commercial functions to improve our ability to monitor, communicate, and influence the financial health of the business. Our purpose is to enable our business to grow and operate more efficiently and profitably.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the finance partnership with the Fintech & Loyalty organization at Wayfair
  • Collaborate with teams throughout Finance and in the Commercial organization to provide financial insights and guide strategic business decisions
  • Establish dashboards and reporting to communicate financial and operational results to leadership and drive decision-making
  • Translate high-level business problems into more specific questions that can be answered through data analyses; leverage analytical findings to identify actionable business recommendations

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or an analytical field, such as economics, engineering, accounting, business, math, statistics, science, or analytics
  • 4+ years of work experience in strategic or corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, consulting, private equity or in an analytical role
  • Expertise with Excel, including creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, SUMIFS, visualizations, and other advanced formulas
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks, deadlines, and projects
  • Persuasive communication skills to summarize and clearly articulate complex concepts, including effectively convey insights from analyses to senior leaders
  • Proven strategic, creative and critical thinking skills
