The Difference You Will Make:

The Airbnb Geos team is looking for a Manager, Community Powered Growthto oversee the core host growth field team in North America. This role reports into the Director of Community Powered Growth.

In this role, you will develop the regional field strategy across two critical programs, Superhost Ambassadors and experienced Co-Hosting. You will oversee a team of community growth managers responsible for supporting, influencing, and engaging trusted members of the Airbnb Host Community. You will be responsible for nurturing a strategic and entrepreneurial way of working for your team.

You will do this by analyzing market and business trends, gaps, and opportunities to localize programs. You will have revenue and business performance goals in addition to sentiment and host success outcomes. You will take a measured approach to assessing impact and success for new initiatives.

You are a strategic partner in shaping a global community that is loved, engaged, and successful. We want to design programs that foster belonging and support all of Airbnb’s stakeholders.

A Typical Day:

Strategy, Operations, and Insights:

  • You will need to assess business needs and establish a framework to design and measure community powered solutions.
  • You will ensure efficient and effective solution design in the face of ambiguity.

People Management:

  • You will be managing a team of Community Growth Managers in North America who will look to you for inspiration, support, and encouragement to reach their goals.
  • You will be responsible for thousands of active experienced co hosts, superhost ambassadors, and hosts across the US and Canada.
  • You will create a culture of entrepreneurship, growth, and belonging across your team.
  • You will lead through your ability to hire, motivate, and inspire a high performing team.

Outcomes and Impact: 

  • You will be responsible for growth and retention metrics, including new active hosts, new listings under management, incremental earnings growth, and churn metrics.
  • You will own initiative performance and optimizing programs to improve outcomes.
  • You have an operating system to manage your team’s performance, including dashboards, KPIs, and OKRs that allow you to know where there is success and where there is opportunity.
  • You will serve as a cross functional lead for all core host growth initiatives and deployment in North America.
  • You will partner with central programs to develop product roadmap, establish host needs feedback and solution design.

Your Expertise:

  • 10+ years experience in people management (with an emphasis on Sales, Community, or Operations Team Management) 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • You are strategic in your thinking with a proven ability to own growth OKRs and exceed goals. 
  • You can forecast, model, and optimize growth tactics based on known and unknown performance.
  • You have client facing experience across tech and consumer goods.
  • You have experience with complex and operational programs.
  • You have the ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
  • You have strong empathy for our community and passion for revenue and growth.
  • You have a deep understanding of value drivers in recurring revenue business models.
  • You have a strong analytical and process-oriented mindset.
  • You are an enthusiastic and creative leader with the ability to inspire others.
  • You have the ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are comfortable with SQL, Excel, Google Docs, Salesforce CRM, and other technology solutions for driving sales.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.  

Pay Range$155,000—$194,000 USD
