The Employee Tech Onboarding Operations team is responsible for ensuring new hires and internal employee transfers have all the technology they need when they start their new role with Wayfair. In addition to this, we strive to provide new hires and internal transfers with white-glove support during their first two weeks of tenure. Our goal is to ensure that new hires and internal employee transfers can hit the ground running and continue to propel Wayfair’s success as they step into their new roles. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead IT New Hire Experience and Software Lifecycle.
  • Manage inventory and stock of essential computer hardware and peripheral accessories in support of Wayfair new hires.
  • Image client PCs using SCCM and JAMF systems; troubleshoot issues in the imaging process with Tier 3 Endpoint Engineering teams. 
  • Communicate effectively with end-users and co-workers across various platforms and mediums.
  • Support growth in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) facilities and facilitate the establishment of contracting agencies as part of our onboarding process for new hires.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet or exceed established KPI goals (SLA, end-user survey, hardware metrics, NPS, etc.) for task completion.
  • Utilize critical problem-solving skills to think quickly, prioritize work, and adapt to daily tasks.
  • Fulfill software requests via Active Directory, SCCM, JAMF, Intune, and remote assistance.
  • Establish strong partnerships and collaboration with tech and business peers for overall success.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to technology operations team(s).
  • Delegate work for effective execution of team/function deliverables.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and cross-training within the team(s) to effectively support the business.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performing team through effective hiring, vendor partner management, coaching, and performance management.
  • Champion policies and standards to maintain a cohesive work environment.
  • Manage software assets within the ITAM lifecycle for the assigned portfolio of products/services and geographies.
  • Analyze a large volume of software entitlement and deployment data.
  • Build and manage complex licensing models, optimizing license usage based on key drivers (headcount, volume).
  • Evaluate licensing options and provide recommendations (named vs. processor licensing, on-premise vs. cloud, owned vs. SaaS).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of software licenses, contracts, and usage.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate favorable licensing agreements and terms.
  • Monitor and enforce software license compliance, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization through license reharvesting and negotiation.

We Are a Match Because You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience within IT systems and platforms
  • 3+  years of demonstrated experience managing a high-performing, cohesive team
  • Experience with onboarding new hire employees
  • Knowledge of Hardware and Software discovery tools and methods
  • Track record of success in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and leveraging influence to drive multi-departmental projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills while working with diverse audiences including business users, technical users, developers, etc
  • Experience with endpoint management solutions (JAMF, AD, SCCM, Intune)
  • A mindset to solve problems with analytical, creative, and innovative approach
  • Ability to analyze reports/data to then act accordingly. Good understanding of data analysis and statistics
