To meet this demand, we are looking for a passionate leader to join our growing Industry Solutions Team (IST), in Barcelona. The objective of IST is to align MongoDB as an industry solution and ensure we understand enterprise clients and their needs to modernize software legacies, transition to modernized solutions, and guide them through continuous data-driven modernization. While the larger IST is globally dispersed, our Industry Solutions Center in Barcelona is made up of a team of passionate, intelligent, and hyper-productive young technologists, who focus on everything from creating solution demos, to aiding with account workshops, running internal enablement, creating website content, and more. We are a diverse team with a diverse range of creative projects; so every day is different!We are looking for a thought leader, a technical expert, and most importantly, a people leader, to manage our high-performing Industry Solutions Center Team in Barcelona. This is a highly visible role that requires natural leadership skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, such as sales, marketing, product, pre-sales, etc. You will play a key role in driving forward major projects, advocating for your team, implementing new processes, cultivating team culture, promoting team mentorship, and retaining talent. This role is for an individual who is detail-oriented, a strong project overseer, collaborative, a strong communicator with a high emotional IQ, and a thought leader who will set the example of raising the bar for team expectations. 

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Industry Solutions Centers, and is based out of Barcelona. Up to 20% travel will be required for MongoDB events, professional development, team offsites, cross-functional events, etc. 

• A Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of Management experience, ideally in a high-producing team
• Passion for and experience in developing and managing a team of individual contributors; your team and their success are your top priority 
• Is comfortable engaging in hiring decisions, performance management, and translating the company and the organization’s goals down to team and individual levels
• You know how to work with ambiguity and navigate through it with perseverance, and a positive mentality; as we’re a fast-growing team, we will look to you to help us establish and evolve processes
• Strong technical knowledge, and is very comfortable with continued learning, and a willingness to become an expert on MongoDB. 
• Highly driven – you possess a strong desire to be successful
• Disciplined – you are skilled in managing time and resources and have a sound approach to working through challenges and hurdles
• Intelligent – you possess an aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, and are comfortable adapting to different audiences

• Experience working with various database products, preferably NoSQL, and software solutions
• Enough experience with database programming and data models, to be able to articulate and help lead projects
• Software development background
• Experience working in a fast-paced, fast-growing tech environment
• A MongoDB Certification

• Plan and guide the team’s work to achieve goals and respond effectively to changing priorities, whilst maintaining team energy, and results.
• Ensure tasks are completed as specified, and take ownership of delivery of direct reports.
• Ensure direct reports have access to necessary resources in order to complete their work successfully, and to continue their own professional development; be an advocate for your team!
• Facilitate and help lead technical knowledge/projects for the team where possible (i.e. hands-on help, making executive decisions, being a tie-breaker, finding access to more resources/tools for learning, etc.)
• Offer mentorship and guidance to the team, and also recognize you can learn from your direct reports as well (we want a leader and facilitator, not a dictator)
• Understand larger scope of the team, such as respective industries and what each industry team is working on, as well as how work is being delegated and diversified across the team. 
• Be a team evangelizer, and promote cross-functional collaboration and internal visibility for the team as a whole and for each individual direct report. 

• Help facilitate project management across the team, by offering guidance as needed, and promoting inter-team communication and collaboration. 
• Have a sense of ownership on the team's overall performance, conduct, and outcomes. 
• Teach and promote MongoDB's core values by modeling those behaviors and providing feedback for areas of improvement as needed.
