As the Marketing Automation Manager at MongoDB, your role is instrumental in managing a team of Automation Specialists and overseeing the execution of global marketing initiatives. Combining strategic insight and technical proficiency, you'll actively support regional initiatives while fine-tuning strategies and processes through data-driven optimizations.

This role can be based out of our Dublin or London office or remotely.

Key responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, coaching, and delegation to your team of Marketing Automation Specialists, with a specific focus on campaign execution
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to oversee the timely delivery of email campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead the execution of email marketing programs, including segmentation, rigorous testing, seamless deployment, and continuous refinement of processes
  • Efficiently manage the campaign calendar across multiple regions and business sectors, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach
  • Provide hands-on support for strategic initiatives throughout the customer journey, including batch sends, automated journeys, and trigger-based communications
  • Take an active role in managing the suite of marketing automation tools, ensuring optimal performance and utility for the team
  • Collaborate with key marketing stakeholders and analytics partners to establish KPIs, create comprehensive reporting structures, and analyze campaign performance
  • Exercise diligent oversight of the email database to ensure compliance with GDPR, CASL, and other privacy regulations
  • Identify potential issues or challenges to campaign or project completion and recommend solutions
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate brings:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing automation or email marketing
  • Proven leadership skills in managing a team 
  • Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automation workflows and triggers with enterprise-level ESPs and CRMs, including Marketo, Iterable and Salesforce
  • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices
  • Proven track record with cross-functional collaboration and achieving high stakeholder satisfaction
  • Experience with business analytics and producing data-driven insights and reports
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and superior communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills project management skills
