We are looking for the right individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and deep passion for supply chain and transportation to help drive this strategic initiative for the company. This candidate must be able to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment with Wayfair growing at an unprecedented 50% year over year. This is a highly visible and exciting role for the company and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to reshape one of our core operational functions. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Manage a region of container consolidation facilities and first leg transportations, responsible for their performance 
• Conduct regular review meetings with logistics service providers (LSP) on key performance indicators 
• Travel 50%+ to meet with CFS and transportation LSPs for standard reviews, sourcing, transitions, or to rehabilitate a LSP in crisis 
• Provide guidance and act as an internal and external consultant 
• Lead scoping and rollout of warehouse management and transportation systems 
• Create reporting and documentation to be shared with crossfunctional teams and leadership on operations performance 
• Proactively identify critical markets and work with internal teams to get ahead of performance issues 
• Alert management to any trends associated with performance and put in place corrective actions
• Be a thought leader around operational improvement opportunities 

Qualifications: 

• BA/BS with strong academic record, Master degree preferred
• Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems 
• 10+ years international supply chain and logistics experience, specifically in contract logistics and cargo transportations
• Strong written and verbal English communications  
• Strong negotiation and LSP management skills
• Extremely organized, meticulous and detail oriented 
• Strong aptitude for effective collaboration within cross-functional teams  
• Proven ability to lead discussions and communicate effectively. Strong logical thinking skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit
