Chewy is seeking a Regional Manager of Capacity to support our North American fulfillment center network.  If you are excited about leading a team and using big data to drive step function improvement and revolutionize e-commerce fulfillment then this opportunity is for you. This role will interact with all levels of the organization and requires a candidate that has excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Be responsible for the capacity/slotting strategy at a local level and take part in new launch projects/reprofiling. This role will allow you to lead and develop a team of smart, passionate, highly motivated slotting specialists. What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team of up to 8 slotting specialists located across the Chewy Fulfillment Network.
  • Define the daily standard work for the slotting specialist team and ensure standards are being met.
  • Manage location capacity and direct the capacity team to make the necessary adjustments to ensure fulfillment centers are utilized in a manner that drives operational efficiency.
  • Monitor site level compliance to established slotting, consolidation, and capacity programs across Chewy’s Fulfillment Network.
  • Develops Fulfillment Center specific strategic initiatives that enables each site to meet the demands of a growing item catalogue and cubic storage requirement.
  • Leads large scale cross functional projects to improve capacity and building utilization.
  • Manages multiple cross functional projects simultaneously.
  • Develop the team of slotting specialists into the next level by providing constructive feedback and developmental opportunities.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a remote team of hourly associates.
  • Intermediate skill level with MS Excel and SQL is required.
  • Experience in product placement, warehouse design and optimization, and affinity analysis.
  • Requires good quantitative and analytical skills; this role caters to someone that loves to solve difficult and complex problems.
  • Ability to work in both a team environment or independently, and comfortable handling some ambiguity.
  • Able to handle a fast-paced, changing environment workplace.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines while supporting various projects.
  • Able to communicate clearly and boil down complex topics into clear problem definitions with data-driven recommendations that drive company-wide decisions.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
