Reporting to the Director of Reporting & Technical Accounting, the Manager of Reporting & Technical Accounting will help to provide guidance on complex technical accounting matters, support the quarterly and annual external filing process and play a key role in sharing SOX subject matter expertise in guiding business partners through the annual SOX compliance cycle. 

 

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

  • Partner and collaborate with revenue accounting, corporate accounting, F&S and other teams to identify, assess, and conclude on complex accounting matters and provide guidance related to new accounting standards upon their adoption
  • Assist in the preparation and review of  Company’s external reporting filings, including the Quarterly Form 10-Qs and Annual Form 10-K
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting regulations while being a part of a dynamic and collaborative team and having opportunities to enhance technical accounting skills
  • Support the accounting teams in providing ongoing training on new and existing accounting standards, including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 326 etc., in addition to SOX related initiatives and hot-topics
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionality with internal and external stakeholders align on key priorities and objectives
  • Create and implement an approach to assess opportunities for key control rationalization, and conduct targeted deep dive efforts to support process and control owners improve efficiency
  • Establish and stand-up process for up-skilling process owners, control owners, and key business process stakeholders through structured training and effective communication strategy
  • Develop, design and implement tools and materials to support process and control owners in the understanding of and execution of control objectives and activities 
  • Partner with internal and external auditors to help coordinate audit requests, including walkthroughs and testing, and to help with documentation related to potential deficiencies and control findings

 

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

  • 6+ years of experience with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA or CIA designation
  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations and ability to assess, analyze and document accounting positions
  • Experience working in public company environment subject to SOX
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, COSO, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and PCAOB Rules and experienced in the use of auditing and assessment frameworks and the application of professional standards
  • Ability to evaluate and document control deficiencies utilizing the applicable assessment frameworks

  • Experience working at a high-growth SaaS and/or Fintech company
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, professional skepticism, with the ability to work autonomously
  • Experience working with various levels of management, building strong relationships and influencing others without formal authority

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.Pay Range$100,000—$160,000 USD
