Manager, Supplier Advertising Off-Site Programs

Full Time
Boston, MA, USA

The Supplier Advertising team at Wayfair provides solutions for Wayfair’s 10,000+ suppliers to advertise their brands and products.  These offerings include on-site solutions such as sponsored product listings and display ads, as well as off-site offerings on Google and Meta.  We work on both improving our products to maximize their inherent value, as well as advising suppliers on how best to leverage them to grow their businesses on Wayfair.  Not only are we generating millions in extra revenue for suppliers and solidifying Wayfair as a preferred partner, but we’ve built a significant business that’s one of the highest growth areas in the company.

We are looking for a Manager to lead strategy and operations for our off-site supplier advertising programs on Google, Meta, and Pinterest.  These programs are still in their infancy; thus there is a large opportunity to define the strategy around how we will scale them over the next 2-3 years.  This person will be responsible both for the strategy of how we set the programs up to maximize value for both our suppliers and Wayfair, as well as the operations around scaling this from a program with only a handful of suppliers today to 1000+ suppliers within the next 2-3 years.  This role provides significant exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work with a variety of cross-functional partners across Marketing, Commercial, and Technology organizations.

What You'll Do

  • Define the overall strategy for supplier advertising off-site programs in terms of how the programs will be set up, for example what channels to target, how supplier campaigns should be set up, and how supplier campaigns will interact with Wayfair campaigns.
  • Build strategic roadmap detailing how the programs can scale to 1000+ suppliers, going from a highly manual managed service today with only a handful of suppliers to a tech-enabled self-service platform that can scale.  Work with tech teams on requirements and execution to achieve this scale.
  • Analyze performance of the programs to ensure that they are meeting both supplier and Wayfair performance goals, and determine how to alter the programs if not.  Set up tests when applicable to test the effects of changes on overall performance.
  • Build go-to-market materials that our sales team can use to educate suppliers on the benefits of the programs, and incorporate feedback from suppliers into how programs are run.
  • Oversee operations of initial managed service, which includes enrolling suppliers, working with marketing to set up and monitor off-site campaigns, working with analytics to build supplier-facing and internal reporting on performance, and overseeing billing and payments.
  • Communicate overall program strategy and results to cross-functional executive leaders across the organization.  Gather feedback from leaders and make changes to the program where necessary.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in digital advertising operations, preferably in an agency or retail media environment, or business operations / strategy
  • Experience with setting up and managing Google PLA, Meta, and/or Pinterest advertising campaigns highly preferred
  • Communication skills for effective verbal and written communications with sales teams, marketing, technology departments and executive leadership
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop and implement new strategies
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets required
  • Familiarity with SQL, Google BigQuery, Looker, Looker Studio, or similar is preferred, but not required
