Our production organization aims to set new standards with a best-in-class, sustainable approach in both physical and digital production methods, supplying the production technologies in a seamless transition to build the world's premier eVTOL.

The Role:

We are assembling a world-class team including ambitious and skilled Manufacturing Engineers!  Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Operations, you will work together on the design, development, and execution of our data management and operational software operations.

Focused on the detailed interactions of the IT solutions that define our manufacturing environment, including PLM, MPP, ERP, MES, and big data analytics.  You will work proactively with cross-functional teams like design, production, quality logistics, and procurement and focus on driving the delivery of parts, assemblies, and aircraft.

Your Day to Day:

  • Create comprehensive work plans containing work instructions and time data relating to propulsion / powertrain. 
  • Taking part in initiatives to improve production and operational efficiency KPIs
  • Developing a lean process flow across our production line to ensure that product, process, and factory design work together as a stable production system.
  • Provide daily shop floor support and act as the first point of contact for technician questions.
  • Respond to ANDON and raised non-conformities.
  • Plan the shop floor work schedule together with the production teams and PP&C.
  • Proactively initiate change requests to the design team, facilitating the achievement of high-rate and cost-effective manufacturing goals.
  • Determine the necessary production capacities in response to process and design changes, ensuring optimal resource utilization.

About you:

We are looking for a passionate team player who loves to collaborate to get things done with urgency in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Bringing proven analytical capabilities, you’ll be a strong written and verbal communicator who loves to solve problems.  Manufacturing engineering experience focused on propulsion / powertrain is essential. 

Interacting daily with a variety of technical audiences, you will be comfortable working amongst cross-functional teams, developing and nurturing excellent relationships.

Our Manufacturing Engineer will have demonstrated impact in design for manufacturing activities and will show an overall Lean awareness. An eye for simplification, continuous improvement, and consciousness of health and safety factors.

Key requirements:

  • Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, supply chain quality, industrial engineering, or similar field
  • English CEFR level B2 or higher
  • Practical experience with PPAP / APQP process preferred.
  • Experience in safety-critical industries (e.g. aviation, healthcare) desired
  • Proficiency in CAD software desired
