We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Systems Developer to develop, maintain, and own the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software at a growing 3D printing operation. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert, ensuring robust and reliable system performance to support our manufacturing operations.

The Job:

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain MES software solutions, serving as the technical owner.
  • Independently translate business and technical requirements into software features and solutions.
  • Maintain existing software and continually improve system performance and reliability.
  • Design and implement integrations with third-party systems to streamline manufacturing workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues quickly and effectively, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and refine MES workflows, integration points, and functionality.
  • Document technical specifications, processes, and changes clearly for internal use and compliance.

You:

  • Proficiency in Python is required; familiarity with additional programming languages is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and maintaining MES software or similar manufacturing-related software systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing environments, processes, and operational workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop and manage software based on detailed and sometimes evolving requirements.
  • Strong experience with API development and integration (REST, GraphQL, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and deliver stable solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Bonus:

  • Familiarity with other programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C#, or others).
  • Previous experience in additive manufacturing or 3D printing environments.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure and deployment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
