Market Research Director

Are you ready to apply your research expertise to advocate for customers in a global digital agency environment? Your role at Critical Mass will focus on ensuring the quality of the research, maintaining its relevance, and driving integration with the rest of the agency's work. You will bring the mindset of a consumer behaviour expert who knows how to turn unstructured research objectives into actionable research plans that can realistically be executed by the team, and a leader who keeps an eye on the effective functioning of the research department.

You will:

  • Advocacy: Advocate for excellence in primary research and for the needs of customer within CM and with current clients.
  • Leadership: Evaluate the team’s health and dynamic, make necessary adjustments, and source new talent to meet team requirements
  • Research Design: write persuasive research proposals and craft Research Designs with the perfect methodology and approach
  • CM Collaboration: persuasively and fearlessly advocate for the customer’s voice in every project, provide compelling, actionable presentations to clients and internal teams, identify and capitalize on new opportunities to be of further service and value to CM and existing clients
  • Team Contribution: Ensure each project provides relevant, actionable findings
  • Your Craft: ensure the scientific rigour and academic quality of each project
  • Tools: source & implement innovations in research and process
  • Administration: Liaise with Finance, Project Management, and HR to maintain positive administrative integration across the agency.

You have:

  • At least 10 years’ experience within the consumer behaviour research industry.
  • Insatiable curiosity to always learn and use the best AI tools for research.
  • Strong analytic skills with experience in statistical modelling and analysis.
  • Ability to see both the tactical and strategic implications of research findings.
  • Ability to communicate complex subject matter in verbal, written, and presentation form.
  • Experience building relationships across multi-disciplinary teams, without supervision, under tight deadlines.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Experience conducting research in Global markets.
  • A team-oriented mindset, combined with demonstrated leadership skills.
