Position Overview
StepStone Group LP (StepStone) seeks a Marketing Analytics Associate for its New York, NY location.
Duties
- Provide support to all areas of marketing analytics.
- Serve as point person for all marketing, business analytics and reporting platforms.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data-driven marketing analysis to interpret and translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Make data-driven decisions across marketing platforms including Seismic, Pardot, Salesforce and Sprout Social.
- Utilize advanced Excel, Tableau, Power BI and Seismic skills to analyze the performance of various marketing campaigns and maintain visualization dashboards.
- Provide recommendations to improve digital marketing strategies to align with overall business goals.
- Utilize SQL and Power BI to devise models to support marketing insights by organizing raw data, conducting statistical analysis and identifying data patterns and trends.
- Utilize Seismic and Salesforce CRM system to manage clients and prospects database to help business development connections and keep track of customer interactions and sales data.
- Perform key research analytics on private market investment strategies across private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private debt, working closely with the asset class team and portfolio analytics team to assemble trend analysis on industry macro analytics and firm track record performance.
- Use Alternative Asset research tools Preqin and Pitchbook to generate periodic reports and build visualization on presentations to turn financial market trends into a story.
- Responsible for CEO, Head of Strategy and C-level partners’ speeches, presentations and publications.
- Suggest topics and content, and synthesize current market intelligence and trends.
- Implement the overall sales enablement strategy of the firm-wide platform, Seismic.
- Manage firm-wide regular updated metrics and standard slides with standard methodology, conducting and operating content and data automation to support sales efforts and meet the business’s needs.
- Update financial pitch decks, product decks and papers, etc.
- Utilize Google Analytics, HTML and Google Data Studio to conduct website analysis on visitors' behavior, capturing key performance indicators and finding solutions to boost traffic and conversions.
- Utilize event organizing platforms Swoogo, Splash, Zipster and Pardot to manage customer data.
- Take charge of invitation lists and comprehensive pre-event and post event analysis.
- Create budget plans to monitor the financial situation of various marketing efforts.
- Effectively track and plan marketing costs and help allocate funds to maximize investments.
- Recruit and manage junior staff members.
Requirements
- Must have a Master’s Degree in Marketing Intelligence, Marketing Research & Analytics or a related field and 18 months of experience in the job offered or as a Marketing Analyst or related role in the private markets sector of the financial industry.
Qualifications
Full-term of required experience must include:
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative data-driven marketing analysis to interpret and translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Making data-driven decisions across marketing platforms including Seismic, Pardot, Salesforce and Sprout Social; Utilizing Excel, Tableau, Power BI and Seismic to analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and maintain visualization dashboards.
- Providing recommendations to improve digital marketing strategy to align with overall business goals.
- Performing statistical modeling and coding using SQL and Power BI to devise models by organizing data, conducting statistical analysis and identifying data patterns.
- Utilizing Seismic and Salesforce CRM system to manage clients and prospects database to help business development connections and keep track of customer interactions and sales data.
- Employing knowledge of private markets investment strategies across private equity, real estate, infrastructure and private debt to perform key research analytics functions.
- Using Alternative Asset research tools Preqin and Pitchbook to build visualization on presentations to turn financial market trends into a story
- Employing knowledge of the private markets industry, performance metrics and fundraising to collaborate with senior executives regarding speeches, presentations and publications.
- Suggesting topics and content, and synthesizing current market intelligence and trends; Implementing the overall sales enablement strategy using Seismic.
- Managing firm-wide regular updated metrics and standard slides with standard methodology, conducting and operating content and data automation to support sales efforts and meet the business’s needs.
- Updating financial pitch decks, product decks and papers, etc.
- Utilizing Google Analytics, HTML and Google Data Studio to conduct website analysis on visitors' behavior, capturing key performance indicators and finding solutions to boost traffic and conversions.

Salary is $141,170/year; 40 hrs/wk. This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to StepStone’s Employee Referral Program.
