Marketing and PR Manager, China

The Marketing and PR Manager, China will help develop, implement and coordinate all China markets marketing and communications efforts in an effort to build Mintel’s brand awareness and increase the share of voices of Mintel within the market. The candidate needs to have strong ownership and responsibility to drive the marketing operation in China together with other team members. This role reports to Vice President of APAC Marketing and Communications.
What you will be doing
- Alongside the wider APAC Marketing team, implement strategic corporate and product marketing communication plans in accordance with the overall marketing strategy.
- Evaluate and develop relationships with media, trade show platforms to help build thought leadership within the market.
- Respond to incoming media requests and arrange media interviews with relevant analysts.
- Proactively identify trends and pitch ideas to generate media coverage.
- Write communications that effectively position Mintel’s business segments and its services, including press releases, pitches, blog posts.
- Marketing operations in the China market including but not limited to Mintel webinars, external webinar speakership, external trade show speakership, trade shows.
- Regularly monitoring the success of PR and marketing activities, with a focus on building awareness and generating ROI, for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
- Manage content calendar for China and proactively look for opportunities to utilize existing content in marketing activity.
- Explore and establish strategic partnerships with local partners to further build Mintel brand awareness and help boost sales.
Who we are looking for:
- At least 5 years’ work experience in B2B Marketing/Corporate Communication/Marcom in B2B field.
- Proven experience developing integrated communications for internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrable proactive and reactive media relations knowledge and skills, including the development of news stories, media contacts and press releases.
- Familiarity with content development and localization (in both English and Chinese).
- Ability to prepare and disseminate data quickly and effectively to numerous media contacts.
- Proven strategic, planning, and multitasking skills, with tracking record of high performance under pressure and adherence to deadlines with a quality outcome.
- Strong ownership and responsibility in both planning and execution.
- Demonstrated business maturity and professionalism.
- Data-driven and detailed-oriented
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in both English and Chinese), with ability to consistently work well with colleagues from different cultures.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience of event planning/management is a plus.
