Role: Marketing Communications Manager

Location:1 Centenary Square, Birmingham (hybrid - minimum 3 days per week in the office)  

 

ROLE MISSION

Working in partnership with our client, the Marketing Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in the delivery of multi-variant marketing communications across various channels. This will predominantly be in copy via email and direct mail to retail customers initially, with expectations for this to expand into full image and copy executions as we grow our offering with your support. You will manage projects from briefing to execution, adding value at each stage of the process, ensuring alignment with client objectives and regulatory requirements. 

ABOUT THE TEAM YOU WILL BE JOINING

The Marketing Communications Manager works within a team of two(2) Marketing Communications Project Managers, three(3) Copywriters and an Account Lead.  

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Manage the requests from the product owners and supporting team, training and validating the needs of the briefs.
  • Utilize project management tools to ensure efficient workflow and process management. 
  • Develop and manage detailed project timelines and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, meeting and ideally exceeding expectations. 
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and roadblocks throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Channel, and Compliance teams. 
  • Understand and interpret marketing challenges and communication objectives to help scope solutions with clients as an extension of their team. 
  • Understand, interrogate/triage each brief to ensure full understating of the brief and required results of the campaign / deliverable.
  • Proactively collate any missing information to ensure we have a fully rounded understanding of the brief and challenges our outputs are to resolve.
  • Support the development of briefs and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. 
  • Oversee the production and delivery of marketing assets across various channels, both online and offline. 
  • Track and analyse campaign performance when necessary.  
  • Validate outputs against brief prior to delivery to client.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and continuously improve process and ways of working effectiveness.
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues.

WHAT SKILLS WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL 

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Communications Manager within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, ideally within Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry. 
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, on and offline campaign management 
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills. 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work independently. 
  • Proactive, solution focused self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. 
  • Passion for marketing in a regulated industry and a keen eye for detail. 
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, ideally within Financial Services. 
  • A willingness to adapt to the situation with a positive can-do approach.
  • A go getter who will support our growth plans.
  • A technology enthusiast, who embraces all that technology and AI can bring to the workplace.
