What is the key purpose of a Marketing Coordinator? As a Marketing Coordinator working in Taboola’s Shenzhen office, you will drive brand awareness and business growth in Greater China. Your primary focus will be on executing marketing strategies, including event planning, social media management, content localization, and client gifting initiatives.

What skills and qualifications do I need? For this role it is essential that you have:

  • Experience in Marketing/Content/Social Media Management within the Chinese market.
  • Must possess a growth mindset, be detail-oriented, responsible, and unafraid to get one's hands dirty.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in executing events.
  • Exceptional project management and multitasking abilities, including the capability to independently execute complex marketing events.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly with international teams, including Taboola's global marketing teams across various locations.
  • A team player who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy in an ever-changing, international environment.

It would be great if you also have: 

  • Experience in creating social media content, especially for platforms like WeChat, Xiaohongshu, or TikTok. Possess a deep understanding of social media trends and skills.
  • Equipped with strong Simplified Chinese writing proficiency, and a willingness to leverage AI tools intelligently to excel in Traditional Chinese writing.
  • Experience in video production, including basic video shooting and editing capabilities.
  • Understanding of digital advertising and e-commerce terminology within the Chinese market.

What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis? As a Marketing Coordinator - China, you will:

Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Marketing Manager  to develop, execute, and deliver impactful marketing events for Taboola China, ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Take ownership of managing gifting initiatives within the Greater China region.
  • Foster seamless collaboration with the Sales team to facilitate client engagements and enhance customer experiences.

Social Media and Content Curation: 

  • Work in tandem with your manager to strategically manage social media channels, including WeChat, LinkedIn, Facebook, and proactively explore opportunities on platforms like Instagram or Xiaohongshu.
  • Be accountable for creating and disseminating engaging content and related materials across social media and blogs, collaborating with content vendors, design vendors, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Curate captivating video content to better engage with potential clients and increase Taboola's brand awareness within the Greater China region. 

Localization of Marketing Materials: Localize marketing materials in both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, including product updates, sales presentations, data, vertical-specific content, case study and market insights.
