About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Director for Brazil, reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Director, LATAM. You will drive business growth for Crunchyroll subscriptions and brand awareness in Brazil region and establish long-term strategies by markets and for the overall region. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of title/content launches and brand initiatives and plays a crucial coordination role within the International Marketing Leadership team and our global centers of excellence in the corporate office. You will be responsible for the marketing success in Brazil, following our  “globally aligned, regionally relevant principle.”  You will take direct ownership and accountability for top-of-the-funnel marketing activities and subscriber growth in Brazil and manage a team of people.

We are considering remote applicants based in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute hyper-locally relevant strategies for traffic driving, brand/community engagement, social media, and fan events.

  • Oversee all regional marketing efforts to grow portfolio brands (exclusive titles), including audience development, event marketing, and local marketing partnerships.

  • Develop a team of local marketers to create culturally relevant, conversation-driving regional marketing campaigns.

  • Align the brand with the global brand direction and local product strategy.

  • Oversee all aspects of creative workflows for all products in Brazil - demonstrating and working closely with the international marketing team, global centers of excellence, and regional external partners.

  • Ensure all local paid, CRM, social media, digital, PR and event strategies are integrated in line with overall global marketing strategy and incorporate regional Operations and subscription goals. 

  • Partner with central functions to activate relevant local activities across Marketing, Digital, PR, and Internal Comms.

  • Leverage all organic, partnership, and earned marketing efforts to reach users in meaningful and engaging ways; drive viewership through free-trials, streaming subscriptions, and subscriber retention.

  • Partner with the Sr. Director of Marketing toensure subscriber targets are hit for all territories.

  • You deeply understand the Brazilian market.
  • You have a background in brand marketing, tech, or entertainment.
  • You have worked in a global organization or have international experience.
  • You are a self-starter, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • You have strong leadership skills, including business development, marketing strategy, and creative campaign oversight, and you have management experience.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are fluent in Portuguese and English.
