Localisation plays a vital part at Deliveroo: we are responsible for making our products relevant to our users in our non-English speaking markets. If you love languages and food, then this job is for you! You will be joining the localisation team as a Marketing Localisation Manager to contribute to the growth of our consumer, partners and/or rider products supporting with the transcreation of creative campaigns and cultural adaptations. 

This role will work closely with the Brand, Studio and Marketing teams to support with the transcreation of global and local marketing campaigns, as well as playing an active role in ensuring cultural considerations and nuances have been captured.

This is a hybrid-first role, based out of our London offices. You'll report into Localisation Leadership.

What you’ll be doing:

Project Management

  • Manage the entire life-cycle of simultaneous marketing localisation projects by owning clear project documentation and timelines.
  • Work with the Brand, Studio and Marketing teams to localise campaigns and creative assets in a scalable manner.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise and improve localisation and transcreation processes for both our local and global marketing teams.
  • Work with the Brand and Experience teams to create and iterate guidelines and best practices to successfully launch global campaigns.
  • Support with Cultural Consultation, and liasing with local teams to understand market-relevancy of creative campaigns.
  • Create marketing style guides and reference documentations with the support of the Product Localisation Quality Manager.

Leadership

  • Develop, manage and maintain excellent relationships with the Brand, Studio and Marketing teams, and other stakeholders in the business, when needed, and guide them through transcreation, localisation, and local market cultural challenges.
  • Educate key stakeholders and the overall business on the importance of transcreation and market appropriateness, key challenges and ways to collaborate; define localisation best practices and assure adherence.
  • Communicate effectively with Localisation Managers in Product, Quality Managers, Language Leads and Local teams to ensure effective cross-team collaboration and consistency between product and marketing.

Team culture

  • Support with the improvement of existing localisation and transcreation processes and workflows to reduce effort and friction for stakeholders.
  • Play an active role, together with the other Localisation Managers in the team, in building and growing the localisation discipline and impact.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with transcreation of creative campaigns and other marketing assets, including digital marketing, but also a flexible mindset to work across various products.
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary team to transcreate and localise global campaigns and make them scalable.
  • Understanding of the challenges involved in marketing localisation, transcreation, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to partner with internal teams to influence roadmaps.
  • Data-driven approach to localisation would be highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to independently research and then confidently make recommendations based on findings.
  • An excellent understanding of transcreation, localisation and cultural differences.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented.
  • Experience with TMS and CAT tools (e.g. Phrase, Smartling, XTM or similar…).
