This will contribute to the long-term path to success for the SEA region as a whole and provides connection between the market and central global strategic functions following the “globally aligned, regionally relevant principle”. The Marketing Manager handles the daily marketing responsibilities and is the cross-functional steward on a campaign level, responsible for insight driven strategic campaign planning and world-class creative execution. Being a regional media expert with the ability to activate and implement holistic marketing campaigns in a locally relevant manner, the Marketing Manager is always in sync with the social media team, and a reliable partner to the global growth marketing, brand teams, local media partners and agencies. You will also take direct ownership for the success of title and brand campaign launches and results.

In this role, you will...

  • Direct the execution of regional campaigns through agencies and in partnership with the centralized internal Marketing, Social Media and Creative Service teams
  • Drive viewership and streaming subscriptions, grow our awareness footprint, and use all organic marketing efforts to reach users in meaningful and engaging ways.
  • Work on seasonal plans for 1st-Window streaming, franchise/tentpole titles; Crunchyroll brand campaigns for awareness and conversions; experiential and convention activation campaigns
  • Manage non-digital marketing programs and sponsorships along with experiential marketing activations (ex. Anime Festival Asia for awareness)
  • Develop influencer marketing strategy that is supportive to the regional growth and marketing outreach
  • Manage incoming project requests, deliverables, and team member communication. Including activities like:
    • Content brief creation for campaigns managed internally or with external agencies or third parties
    • Event and program execution management
    • Partnering with agency or creative team for digital and OOH asset requests and specifications
    • Partnering with the localization team for any translations
  • Track, measure, and analyze performance across all campaigns and make strategic optimizations to achieve and exceed brand and growth KPIs
  • Contribute to the growth of Crunchyroll’s owned digital/awareness footprint in SEA
  • Increase traffic to crunchyroll.com and natural search index ranking
  • Increase fan/customer sentiment and engagement
  • Grow streaming viewership, free-trial starts, and paid subscriptions
  • Develop and contribute to regional processes, marketing and social media best practices, with regular experimentation, research, and professional development; be willing to perform abilities beyond your areas of expertise
  • Close collaboration with the larger Crunchyroll organization, including our in-house digital creative squad, global marketing teams, Sony Pictures Entertainment/Television, Japanese licensors, and external partners
  • Some regional travel may be required

In the role of the Marketing Manager, you will report to the Director of Marketing, South East Asia.
