Opportunity 

As Global Marketing Operations Director, you will lead the Marketing Operations team and global Marketing Operations Center of Excellence for Ivalua. In this highly impactful and visible role, you will lead the global marketing technology stack, strategy, and roadmap to support demand generation. You will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and analyzing global pipeline growth and program results, identifying growth opportunities and collaborating closely with the global Digital Marketing and regional Marketing teams to execute programs and drive pipeline. 

The ideal candidate has a mix of strategic and exceptional technical & analytical skills, is an innovator and a great mentor for the Marketing Operations team, and loves hands-on analysis and problem-solving. 

This position reports to the VP of Corporate Marketing (based in Redwood City, California).   

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Marketing Operations strategy and roadmap and manage the Marketing technology stack to the fullest of its capabilities, including email automation (Hubspot), intent monitoring (DemandBase), and various other systems
  • Mentor and supervise a small team of high performing individuals
  • Analyze our buyer’s journey to recommend opportunities for growth. In collaboration with the global digital marketing team, support the execution of the programs on the backend as needed
  • Monitor, manage and optimize data governance and quality, and put in place the needed programs and tools to ensure best-in-class data hygiene
  • Establish, monitor and report to the leadership team achievement on program performance and key KPIs including pipeline and funnel metrics. Recommend and execute corrective actions based on learnings. Evangelize to train and elevate the skills of the global and regional teams
  • Establish, document, and educate on lead handling process and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with the global Sales Operations team on reporting, and lead process best practices and enablement

Skills You Need to Succeed:

  • 10-15+ years of successful track record in Marketing Operations, managing marketing automation and the marketing tech stack, including experience working as the Head of Marketing Operations
  • Outstanding ability to build a well thought-through and pragmatic marketing operations strategy and roadmap based on how to best address business needs (rather than on complex tech stack)
  • Best-in-class expertise on data management and lead generation best practices, as well as proficiency in main digital marketing channels
  • Advanced expertise in Hubspot marketing automation and CRM
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional results- and data-driven mindset and analytical skills in quantitative data analysis of program effectiveness, forecasting, and ROI. Ability to simplify complex problems and articulate takeaways clearly and concisely
  • Solid management and interpersonal skills
  • Enterprise software experience

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Business or related technical field (IT, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.)

The salary range for this position is based upon careful and continual market compensation research. In addition to location, salary may also vary based upon job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Title: Marketing Operations Director

Base range minimum: $119,000

Base range maximum: $221,000

*Additional compensation / rewards: In addition to the base salary information above, Ivalua offers an uncapped commission plan as part of the competitive compensation package. Other compensation factors may also be considered. Ivalua also offers exceptional benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement (with company match), and much more.
