Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

As a part of the Market Strategy & Planning team at Twilio Segment, this role will partner with the broader marketing organization to maximize their business impact. Using a mix of customer insight, funnel analysis, and business acumen, you will prioritize the levers at the marketing team’s disposal to drive revenue growth. You will own the design and delivery of projects that lead others in the company to act upon the opportunities you identify.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Diagnose opportunities to improve the marketing funnel and pipeline creation.
  • Gain alignment to your recommendations, and work with the appropriate stakeholders to see the solution through to implementation.
  • Lead projects that range from 1-week to multiple quarters in length, depending on the size and complexity. Examples of past projects include (but not limited to) break-even analysis to inform sales development hiring plans, improving conversion on demo requests, and refining the feedback loop from sales development to drive higher quality leads.
  • Represent marketing in weekly cross-functional go-to-market operational meetings, guiding the broader team to make decisions that optimize the marketing-to-sales handoff.
  • Provide strategic counsel to marketing leadership anchored in both data and customer insight. Examples of past projects include buyer persona research, market segmentation, and account executive interviews.
  • Improve the process for how the marketing team sets, tracks, and reports on activity that ties to measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Development organization to improve conversion of marketing activities to dollar pipeline.
  • Be a conduit to cross-functional teams for sharing insight, and delivering feedback to marketing teams in service of building a learning organization.
Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

  • Have 5+ years of work experience in marketing operations, sales/revenue operations, or sales strategy in a high-growth B2B technology business.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to implement solutions that improve the revenue funnel.
  • Proven track record of project management experience with both strategy and execution.
  • Can deliver high-quality work while managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Can interact with cross-functional leadership with confidence, and articulate business dynamics that reflect an understanding of their function.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with visual presentation skill with the ability to flex approach depending on differing audiences.
  • Experience with modern B2B marketing discipline (lead scoring, account scoring, lead routing, campaign attribution, etc)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with modern analytics platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce (SFDC) with an understanding of reporting and how lead, contact, account, and opportunity objects work together.
