We’re in an unbelievably exciting area of tech and are fundamentally reshaping the data storage industry. Here, you lead with innovative thinking, grow along with us, and join the smartest team in the industry.

This type of work—work that changes the world—is what the tech industry was founded on. So, if you're ready to seize the endless opportunities and leave your mark, come join us.

THE ROLE

Join the NAND & Drive Qualification team to play a pivotal role in demonstrating the capabilities of Pure Storage's industry-leading Direct Flash Modules (DFM)—our internally developed, high-performance NAND flash storage devices. Your mission is to ensure the DFMs meet the highest standards of quality, simplicity, and scalability by leading the qualification process. You will drive progress through expert test execution, root cause analysis, and enhancing the efficiency of our highly automated test environment, collaborating closely with firmware and hardware teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead and execute drive qualifications by developing, implementing, and running advanced validation test suites and tools for Enterprise SSDs.

  • Drive significant improvements in team effectiveness by brainstorming and designing innovative methods and procedures for drive and system-level demonstrations.

  • Design, develop, and deliver critical SSD/NAND feature tests and continuously enhance the regression test suite to ensure robust product stability.

  • Proactively define and develop software tools to aid SSD qualification, covering deep feature validation, diagnosis of complex field issues, and FW/HW maturation.

  • Apply expertise in troubleshooting, data analysis, and assessment of test results to guide qualification expectations and drive timely resolution of identified issues.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Expertise in developing software to validate hardware components/systems and advanced proficiency in both software and hardware debugging.

  • Strong, practical knowledge of PCIe/NVMe protocols and Firmware Architecture/Design specific to Solid State Drives (SSD) or comparable storage domains.

  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard third-party test tools such as Lecroy, Drive Master, OakGate, and experience with relevant certification processes.

  • Proven independent ability to devise, implement, automate, and refine qualification methods, specifically addressing failure modes of flash-based devices.

  • Demonstrated experience working within an enterprise data storage systems, SSD company, or related component vendor environment, with a strong knowledge of storage architectures.

  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the {{Bengaluru} office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
