For our ambitious and fast-growing Product Operations team in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Menu Planning & Ingredients Intern from September/October for 5 - 6 months. 

During this internship, you will work across two teams: Menu Planning and Ingredients. This will give you a unique opportunity to learn everything about HelloFresh ingredients, the way we build menus, and be a key contributor for both teams.

In this impactful role, you will support with onboarding ingredients, adjust our weekly recipe offering to ad-hoc market circumstances, and help be in charge of our HelloFresh market operations.”

🥑 This is how you’ll make an impact

  • Shaping weekly menus with recipe and ingredient swaps based on feedback and ingredient availability, keeping them aligned with customer expectations.
  • Breathing new life into recipes by testing new ingredients, re-cooking recipes, and ensuring every plate is top-notch.
  • Diving into customer feedback to understand what people really think about our recipes and ingredients, and using those insights to improve our offering.
  • Putting your sensory skills to work by evaluating new and improved ingredients.
  • Running operations for HelloFresh Market (which covers all menu items beyond our recipes, such as snacks and fruit boxes). This includes ensuring ingredient availability, updating and setting prices, tracking stock levels and sold-outs, and calculating margins while benchmarking prices against competitors.
  • Supporting the team with ad-hoc requests, from analyses to tastings.

🍉 These are the ingredients you’ll bring to the team

  • You are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a relevant HBO/WO education, with a strong preference for a background in business or food (technology)
  • Enthusiasm for food, data savvy, and a strong motivation for HelloFresh are key!
  • You speak fluent English, and Dutch is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Sheets
  • Energized by managing multiple tasks in a short period of time; proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on achieving strong results with a can-do mentality.
  • You’re a self-starter, think before acting, and enjoy working with diverse people and teams.
