This role will report to the Senior Manager, Merchandising for Experiences and is an integral part of a critical cross-functional growth initiative led by the Global Markets team. You will be responsible for delivering key global metrics relevant to your function, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with peers across functions to achieve shared goals.

In this role, you will oversee international merchandising initiatives in our Experiences business. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to improve product features, optimize market-specific sorts & recommendations, and create traveler-centric content with an international lens. You love to take on challenges that allow you to flex your creative and analytical skills. You’re a passionate advocate for the customer and seek to intimately understand their journey. You’re growth oriented with a never stop testing and iterating mindset. 

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on market-specific digital merchandising trends and ecommerce best-practices
  • Contribute to an annual trend guide, inclusive of key calendar dates, market-specific insights, and seasonal travel patterns
  • Analyze destination, category, and product trends and leverage insights to drive market-specific business recommendations
  • Partner with Machine Learning and Engineering to build and refine market-specific sort models
  • Optimize cross-sell logic and positioning (titles, placement on page, etc.)
  • Partner with Legal to conduct market-specific regulatory audits
  • Partner with Product Management and UXR to develop site features and enhancements
  • Leverage A/B testing tools to measure impact on consumer engagement and financial performance
  • Partner with Creative and Content teams to develop site content that aligns with market trends (seasonal, contextual) and business objectives
  • Partner with CRM to optimize email campaigns and product recommendations
  • Partner with PR to pitch seasonally-relevant content to publishing partners
  • Propose project ideas, support project roadmaps, create cross-functional processes, and promote documentation

 

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital merchandising (requirement); preference for demonstrated success in a global ecommerce business
  • Ability to navigate and simplify ambiguity, invent and innovate, adapt and adjust
  • Strong presentation skills; high bar for visual design and storytelling
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment
  • Experience working directly with Marketing, Product Management, and Machine Learning teams
  • Passion for travel stories and understanding customer journeys

 

The salary range for this role is $93,000 to $130,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future
