The role

The National Account Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets across various channels and meeting budgeted revenue goals. This includes managing relationships with national customers and overseeing the distribution network for the assigned channels. In addition to growing existing accounts, the role involves acquiring new significant business opportunities and ensuring successful onboarding.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve revenue, margin and contribution targets for customer groups
  • Set and achieve goals & KPI’s for your channel.
  • Development and implementation of QTRLY business reviews, category reviews and joint customer plans
  • Coordinating campaigns and promotions with key customers, aligning our internal campaigns with key customer groups.
  • Develop and sell-in trading terms
  • Conducted competitor analysis, understanding market trends and make strategic recommendations for future planning.
  • Run workshops and brainstorming sessions for new and creative growth strategies.
  • Analysis of results and insights to improve overall strategy for Retail.
  • Coordinate & communicate with all relevant internal departments including logistics & distribution, accounts, marketing, creative & operations.
  • Utilise consumer insights and analyse data to identify and maximise existing business and drive new opportunities.
  • Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue and volume
  • Meeting with Merchandise and Category Managers, Franchises and Group Marketing Managers to plan, monitor and review activity.
  • Manage the execution of all activities including accountability across the field team and
  • stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of all work.
  • Following timelines & company marketing calendars.
  • Drive brand & culture consistency across all touch points.
  • Always challenge the status quo & innovate

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or like field desirable
  • Current AU drivers’ licence

Experience

Essential:

  • 5 years’ experience in FMCG sales leadership / account management and/or business
  • development (switch to 2 years)
  • 3 years National Account Management experience with Coles, Woolworths, P&C (BP/Ampol/7-Eleven) or Metcash.
  • Work with the National Business Manager to track record in negotiating trading terms and range reviews with major customers

Start Date: Immediately available - Can wait a notice period

Duration: Permanent full time role. You must have the right to work full-time in Australia/New Zealand.
