Your mission

Define the future network strategy and infrastructure design covering the corporate and ground segment requirements for the IT systems and facilities. Utilising the latest standards in technology and approaches to software defined networks (MEF compliant) and network virtualisation, the MPLS network is the backbone of the interconnectivity of the satellite operations, corporate, and infrastructure hosting environments. The role requires experience the be ability to design a robust, resilience, and secure networks, with latest firewalls, end point protection, and virtual private networking and point to point encryption equipment.     This includes: 

  • Ensuring high availability of network and connectivity and guaranteeing security compliance 
  • Development and constant optimization of our IT network access controls and processes 
  • Ensuring network availability and secure remote access solutions for staff and systems 
  • Collaboration and documentation on the topic of access controls, data protection, information security 
  • Remote support for employees abroad 

What you bring on the table

  • Completed studies in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification 
  • Knowledge in setting up and supporting network architectures for secure remote access solutions 
  • Knowledge in the areas of networking (802.1x, MPLS), wireless, VPNs, firewalls and Microsoft 365 
  • Experience with the operation of cloud applications / computing environments 
  • Experience in virtualised desktop (VDI/Thin Client) environments such as Citrix 
  • Independent, solution-, result- and user-oriented approach to daily troubleshooting 
  • Enjoying developing and implementing new solutions and enhancements as part of a team 
  • Very good skills for independent problem analysis and solution finding 
  • Business fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Occasional willingness to travel
