Your mission

You will be part of the team that oversees the system engineering of Rivada’s constellation. Your mission is to strengthen our team as a Network Engineer in the planning and design of Rivada’s constellation Network. You will ensure that the system is optimized  for future operability and takes account of the constraints of operating a global communication system. You will support the system operations preparation team in the domain of networks. This includes:

  • Create IP addressing and MPLS switching planning
  • Implementation of routing protocols
  • Create simulations scenarios using network simulation tools
  • Troubleshooting using network packet analysis tools
  • Refining/formulating requirements for the system and various subsystems related to network design to ensure consistency and completeness of scope of the requirements
  • Interface with network operations preparations team and consolidate network operations scenarios
  • Prepare network flow diagrams for various network operational scenarios

What you bring on the table

  • A degree in telecommunication, electrical engineering or computer science
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a telecoms environment
  • At least 1 years working with MPLS network
  • Experience with MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, LDP and MPLS Traffic Engineering
  • Skills in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and Spanning Tree Protocol
  • Skilled with Linux operational systems
  • Python programming skills
  • Experience with Network Simulation tools (Dynamips, GNS3)
  • Experience with packet analysis tools
  • Desirable CCNA certification
  • Fluency in English language
