Observability Team Lead

As a Team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of skilled professionals who are focused on monitoring tools and ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our systems. This includes overseeing the team's day- to-day operations, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that the team's objectives align with the organization's overall goals. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and collaborative mindset will be essential in driving the team forward.
A taster of what you will be involved with:
- As a team lead you will be responsible to ensure GitOps practices are beingfollowed while supporting company’s vision to transition from On premise workload to Cloud native workloads.
- As a team lead, along with your PM, you will be responsible for resource planning, workload allocation, and ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and tools to perform their duties effectively.
- As a team Lead, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to the team and introduce automation where possible to increase velocity.
- As a team lead you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technicians, including providing performance feedback, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- As a team Lead, you will collaborate with other teams and stakeholders, such as DevOps, network engineers, security teams, architects and application developers, to ensure seamless integration and operation
- As a team, you will drive this team to Implement and review the Observability strategy, along with the Architects, to align with the organization's goals. Identify and prioritize key monitoring metrics and KPIs that will enable proactive identification of issues and optimization of system performance, with development teams.
- As a team lead, you would be expected to keep the team motivated to evaluate, implement, and maintain monitoring tools and solutions that cater to the diverse needs of the organization. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in observability to ensure the team is using the latest and most effective tools available
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
- AWS Cloud practitioner or equivalent would be beneficial

- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of engineers and technicians, including resource planning, workload allocation,performance feedback, challenging estimates and mentoring.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of monitoring pillars such as Logs, Metrics and Tracing.
- Knowledge of best practices in IT operations, such as ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and DevOps principles
