Operational Resilience Manager
Location: London, in-office

As Operational Resilience Manager, you will join the team that is a key component of SumUp’s second line of defence and is responsible for the ongoing assessment and oversight of the group’s risk management including operational and enterprise risks and operational resilience framework.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement the operational resilience framework, ensuring compliance with DORA and other regulations, and lead Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) efforts
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and GRC teams to identify risks, address gaps in processes and technologies, and ensure continuity of critical operations during disruptions
- Oversee and test incident response, BCP, and DRP frameworks, minimizing downtime and customer impact while maintaining regulatory standards
- Conduct post-mortems and create detailed reports on resilience capabilities and DORA compliance progress
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators, to align on resilience objectives
- Lead training programs to build awareness and readiness for disruption management across the organisation
You’ll be great for this position if you have:
- Expert knowledge of Operational Resilience Guidelines, Digital Operational Resilience Act and Business Continuity Management requirements and best practices
- Proven track record of designing and implementing these frameworks ideally in a Fintech environment
- Given technical guidance to the business and risk manager on ICT and operational resilience-related topics
- Disaster recovery experience, being able to interact with engineering and technological infrastructure teams and propose improvements
- Draft, develop, maintain, and implement an operational resilience framework, services mapping, design scenarios, conduct testing exercises, document business continuity plans, and report
