About the Operational Excellence BI Manager role:

The Operational Excellence Team focuses on driving improvement through our DCs to improve our efficiency and quality. Responsible for continuous improvement, the team is critical to supporting HelloFresh to reach its full operational potential. Being led by data is one of our key pillars, using facts and figures to make key decisions and ensure we are always working on the most impacting problems. 

What the Operational Excellence BI Manager will be doing:

  • Taking the lead on analytical workstreams to support Operational Excellence projects, driving improvement in our processes across our three UK distribution centers located in Derby, Nuneaton and Banbury.
  • Identifying opportunities for data gathering, manipulation and visualisation projects by collaborating with and guiding departmental leaders.
  • Triage, prioritisation and distribution of workload to a team of dedicated junior analysts.
  • Building models and forecasts to inform strategic decision making by working with our UK data infrastructure team.
  • Bringing best practice and a fresh perspective to the existing suite of data tools (google sheets, tableau, snowflake, databricks).
  • Managing communication with stakeholders to assure project delivery on time.
  • Interface and establish relationships with the UK and International BI teams to influence decision making and bridge the gap in operational understanding.
  • Build localised pipelines and dashboard to support the operation.
  • Lead by example, supporting the BI Analysts in their work, building a world class team

Who you are:

You have the aspiration to become an expert on how Analytics and automation can help the business thrive:

  • Higher education in Engineering, Data science, Mathematics or Economics - Favorable.
  • A proactive self starting and inquisitive mindset with a track record for solving problems through automation and visualization.
  • Great communication, able to simplify concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Previous experience working in a BI, Insight or Data analyst role.
  • An outstanding level of numerical and analytical thinking with a very logical approach.
  • Considerable hands-on experience of working with data visualisation tools (such as Tableau / PowerBI), SQL coding & working with Excel / Gsheets to provide rapid ad hoc analysis.
  • Experience with an ETL solution software tool (preferably either SQL or python language based) and other workflow management tools.
  • The ability to manage complex improvement projects and drive change through teams.
  • Passion about the ability of data to change a business and how numbers can be transformed into key insights.
  • Experience, managing/supervising and tutoring small teams.
  • Bringing an entrepreneurial philosophy, seeing challenges as opportunities, looking to pave the way forward.
  • Experience with programming syntax, such as Python, VBA, Appscript is desirable but not essential.

Start date: ASAP

Recruitment process: You will have a phone interview with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. Should you be successful, you will be asked to complete a technical test and, depending on the result, you will be invited for a competency based interview

Working Hours: Hybrid - Monday to Friday 40hrs a week

Location: Bermuda Industrial Estate, 1 St Georges Way, Nuneaton CV10 7JS (Home Site for the role) / Travel to different DC sites once a week may be occasionally required
