📣 A bit about the role

We’re looking for a German speaking Operations Lead to oversee and optimise our final-mile logistics across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. You’ll be responsible for managing our fulfilment partner (Leen Menken, based in Zoetermeer) and last-mile delivery providers, ensuring that our fresh meals arrive on time and in full to thousands of happy dogs (and their humans).

This role is key to our European expansion, offering you the opportunity to grow into a leadership role, managing the fulfilment centre operations in the future.

This is a hybrid working role with 2 work from home days each week. Your days in the office will be based at our office in the heart of Amsterdam (Vijzelgracht). You’ll report to our Head of 3PL Frits who is also based in Amsterdam.

What you’ll do

✔ Own delivery performance across NL, BE & DE, ensuring a seamless customer experience✔ Work closely with our fulfilment partner (Leen Menken) to manage daily & long-term capacity planning✔ Oversee last-mile logistics providers, optimising delivery routes & performance✔ Track key logistics KPIs, focusing on On Time In Full (OTIF) & reducing delivery errors✔ Plan for peak seasons & public holidays, minimising any customer impact✔ Improve operational efficiency, giving customers more convenience & flexibility in delivery options✔ Collaborate with Ops Managers in other markets, sharing insights & best practices✔ Support European expansion, helping launch new products & enter new markets

✅ Must-haves

🔹 Fluent in German & English (Dutch is a plus)🔹 Based in the Netherlands, within a reasonable commute to Amsterdam and Zoetermeer🔹 Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners & fulfilment partners🔹 Ability to manage fast-paced, high-accuracy operations🔹 Comfortable with data & KPI tracking (OTIF, SLA performance, cost per delivery)🔹 Problem-solving mindset – you anticipate issues before they arise🔹 Excellent communication skills, working across multiple teams & stakeholders🔹 A self-starter – hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity

🌟 Nice-to-haves

➕ Experience working with SQL, Looker, or Google Sheets for operational reporting➕ Experience in grocery, e-commerce, or perishable goods logistics
