Databricks is looking for a talented Order to Cash (OTC) Credit Manager who has passion for process improvement and operational excellence. We are in search of a skilled individual who not only possesses a keen eye for assessing and managing customer creditworthiness, but also thrives on driving continuous improvement initiatives within our environment. This role will report to the Sr Manager, Billing, Credit & Collections. 

The impact you will have:

  • Establish, lead development, and enforce corporate credit policies/procedures to mitigate risk and ensure timely payment from customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and implement new processes and automation to support the credit function
  • Assess credit risk for new and existing customers, including reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and payment histories
  • Monitor customer accounts receivable balances and proactively connect with customers to resolve payment issues and disputes
  • Research and analyze external data to identify risk factors related to specific industries, geographies, and customer legal/bankruptcy status for comprehensive risk assessment
  • Collaborate with Sales/Deal Desk/Customer Success to evaluate creditworthiness of potential customers and establish appropriate credit limits
  • Analyze billing data and trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for process improvement
  • Maintain accurate records of credit evaluations, approvals, and collections activities.
  • Ensure appropriate credit management internal controls are in place and operating effectively to ensure SOX compliance
  • Create and publish metrics to capture, control and report credit management effectiveness
  • Generate and maintain detailed documentation of policies and processes and assist with process improvement/automation initiatives as they arise
  • Support the Order to Cash team to improve processes impacting the Billing, Credit & Collections function

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 
  • 6+ years of experience in Credit Management and Collections or Finance Operations
  • Experience with credit management tools such as Dun & Bradstreet or Moody’s
  • Working knowledge of best practices internal controls
  • Experience managing high volume of transactions 
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines in a fast pace environment without losing sight of accuracy
  • Proficiency with Excel is required (pivot tables, Vlookups)
  • Experience in subscription, consumption and professional services billings
  • Experience with NetSuite or any major ERP and Salesforce
