See yourself at Twilio

Join the team as our next Paid Search Manager based in the UK.

Who we are & why we’re hiring

Twilio powers real-time business communications and data solutions that help companies and developers worldwide build better applications and customer experiences.

Although we're headquartered in San Francisco, we're on a journey to becoming a globally antiracist company that supports diversity, equity & inclusion wherever we do business. We employ thousands of Twilions worldwide, and we're looking for more builders, creators, and visionaries to help fuel our growth momentum.

About the job

The EMEA Paid Search Manager will be part of the EMEA Marketing organisation, managing Paid Search across all Twilio products. You will own the strategy and delivery of our paid campaigns. And although PPC is the specialism for this role, having hands on experience in Paid Social, Programmatic Display and other Paid platforms (Reddit, YouTube, Stackoverflow) will be hugely beneficial.

This is an in-house position, so you will be in the platforms making changes. We do work with agencies for other channels and activities, but you will be expected to write ads, review landing pages and optimise activity.

Reporting to the Senior Performance Marketing Manager, this position is critical to help deliver continued growth in the region. As such you won’t just know the platforms inside out, you will have extensive experience in building and curating audiences, understanding the metrics and reporting as well as being comfortable working with teams across Twilio and beyond.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage and optimise our Paid Search activity across EMEA
  • Collaborate with our EMEA Marketing team and international peers in North America and Asia Pacific
  • Own the Paid Search strategy to align with our team OKRs
  • Demonstrate your expertise in audience segmentation, not just for Search but to be used across all channels
  • Develop reports and insights for the wider team
  • Build knowledge of our products and business to help shape those strategies
  • Work with external partners and suppliers
Qualifications

Not all applicants will have skills that match a job description exactly. Twilio values diverse experiences in other industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. While having “desired” qualifications make for a strong candidate, we encourage applicants with alternative experiences to also apply. If your career is just starting or hasn't followed a traditional path, don't let that stop you from considering Twilio. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!

Required:

Twilio is looking for somebody who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of managing Paid Search and other Performance Marketing Channels.  They should also have:

  • 3+ years of experience working in performance marketing
  • Expert user of Google Ads and Microsoft Ads (including YouTube, GDN etc.)
  • A data-led approach, with an ability to isolate issues/opportunities in our paid activity
  • The ability to work cross-functionally as well as with peers in other regions
  • A test and learn attitude; let’s be prepared to break some stuff to drive growth
  • Experience in building and nurturing audiences, either in-platform or with third party tools (both, even better)
  • Ownership of budgets and strategy for similarly sized accounts
  • Be an expert in the platforms and tools that can help deliver those results
  • A desire to learn - Twilio is a constantly evolving business with multiple products and points of entry for customers, so you’ll need to be prepared to learn and talk to experts across the company

Desired:

  • Hands-on experience with other paid channels, particularly LinkedIn, Meta and Google Display
  • A working knowledge of Segment (or other CDPs)
  • German, French or any other EMEA language skills, by no means essential, but very useful
  • Experience in the B2B tech space is useful, but also easily learned
  • Tag management experience (i.e. Google Tag Manager)

Location

This role will be remote, and based in the UK.
